Student Success Statement

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another." -Paul Hatch.

If you tell one small lie, it can lead to you telling another lie and the another, and then you have to tell even bigger lies. Sooner or later you are going to be caught, and everyone will know that you lied so you wouldn't have to get in trouble. But instead of lying, you can just tell the truth instead of saying the small lie. It's better to tell the truth then to lie because then you won't be in so much trouble. An example would be the reason why you were late. You arrive to school and they ask why you were late? You tell them that there was traffic and you live far. Your parents ask you why you were late and you say that the school made a mistake and you were early. But someone saw you when you were on your way to school. And you went somewhere different. If that person tells you have to make up another lie and say they are lying. But when they find out the truth, the school and your parents will find out you went somewhere different and not to school and you kept lying. That will get you in more trouble rather than saying where you went before school.
