Sports Medicine
Duties and responsibilities:
- Examine patients and diagnose sports-related injuries or conditions
- Prescribe medication and treatment to heal and restore normal function
- Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment according to patient response
- Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
- Select and prepare medical equipment or medications to be taken to athletic competition sites.
- Develop and prescribe exercise programs such as off-season conditioning regimens.
- Participate in continuing education activities to improve and maintain knowledge and skills.
- Provide coaches and therapists with assistance in selecting and fitting protective equipment.
Salary: $204,813
Education: Doctor of Medicine
Demand: 18% between 2012 and 2022
No I would not like to become a sports medicine doctor because i do not have interest in that field.
